I grew up in Vancouver and never had a clue how insanely gorgeous it is until I left.

When it's not raining, the city glows with that diffuse light you only really get in more northern latitudes. Some will scoff that Vancouver is "northerly" but relative to California where I live now, it really is. Light is totally different there than Northern California, and just flying in, as the plane descends, you totally can see it. #vancouver #granvilleisland
