#urban This could practically be any mid size U.S. city as the remnants of old or 'historic' buildings remain mixed among the threads of new. However, this happens to be Austin, Texas. I would have enjoyed seeing the old buildings in their prime for their western stylistic character without powerlines, electrical boxes, and code-compliance 'improvements' encumbering the view. I did find it interesting this one still has sheet-metal shutters in place although they appear dysfunctional.
