Eclipse Diamond Ring a brief, beautiful visual effect seen during a total solar eclipse, caused by a single point of sunlight or #glint shining through a lunar valley just before and after totality. I didn’t realize I had also captured solar flares until I looked at results on a large screen. Given how cloudy it was from our vantage point in Dallas, Texas 8 April ‘24, I was very happy to get the shots I did as the clouds opened long enough for me to get several photos of the moon going in and out of phase
