Kitchener, Ontario, Canada's central library lounge features a sound stage and Jack Bechtel's 1962 wall mural, 'Enlightenment. His abstract figurative artwork depicts the inner evolution of humans from the darkness of ignorance toward enlightenment. The library setting bolsters the work's message that understanding and enlightenment arise from knowledge. See my little slideshow for a closer look at the mural.
