Woven Wood
Up close with the fibrous textures of a Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata), a tree species deeply woven into the local ecosystem of Herald Provincial Park in British Columbia, Canada. In the pre-colonial era, the indigenous Secwépemc (Shuswap) inhabitants wove the bark strips to produce sheets for clothing and other uses. #bark
