The Amelia Gayle Gorgas Library, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Where I spent countless hours of my youth as a student reading, researching, studying, writing, and dreaming in the quietest place I could find. Opened in 1939 to replace the previous library, it was the first academic building at UA named for a woman.
