Photo Friday, No. 806

Current Photo Friday theme: Difficult Shot

Houston Galleria, June 1, 2009

What made this shot difficult:
Getting only one human, Timothy, on his floor and the ones above it inside a busy mall.
Being in the right place to get some reflection in the windows behind the flag.
Getting in trouble with security afterward for shooting photos there (shot with a Nikon D40, not a sneaky cell phone).

  1. Oh, I remember this shot. Lovely how you have caught the reflection of the flag. The size of it is amazing.

We don’t usually have flags in our shopping centres, but there are a few more cropping-up all over the place because of the jubilee. I expect London is awash with them right now.

    1. Thank you for your kind words.

Flags are everywhere here. We put them out, too, on certain holidays, often related to veterans and first responders.

  2. We’re not a big flag-flying nation, although there are certainly more about now than there were when I was a kid. Special occasions, such as VE Day anniversaries and jubilees always bring more out.
