Photo Friday, No. 726

Current Photo Friday theme: Autumn

I painted these in August 2010, inspired by colorful leaves I collected in June that same year in the Ozark mountains while on a family vacation.

I don’t always remember where my art goes, but I do know who purchased these and hope he still enjoys them.

I woke up one morning last week with the urge to paint again. But I must finish this short story by the end of the month. Then there are those novels…

  1. I love those paintings … and I am going to the ozarks at Christmas … amazing that we went to the same Walmart … it tickles me

    1. If you ever went to Walmart in NOLA, then we went to the same one there, too.

It is absolutely impossible for Tom and me to go on any trip without having to stop at Walmart. Whether it’s to grab a snack, something we need for the trip, new music, a toiletry I forgot, SOMETHING, it always happens.

  2. I still have your paintings safely stored. I was thinking only the other day that I need to decide where to place them and fix them to the walls.

    What are you writing?!

    1. I’m so glad the paintings still have a home with you. It means a lot to me.

I just submitted a short story and hope the anthology it could appear in will get a green light.

For most of the last two years, I’ve been doing a rewrite of a novel I wrote decades ago. I’ve turned one novel into what I think will be four. If they should ever be available to read, it’ll probably be because I self-publish them.
